Our Story

Ellie and Carson met in the fall of 2023 when they were placed together as co-leaders of a Grace Bible Church college Bible study. Before the semester began, they got to know one another and shared testimonies over a filling meal at Willie’s Icehouse. They both attended Texas A&M University, and as classes began, they held their first Bible study at Ellie’s house, where they dove into Psalm 1 with their new friends.

That fall happened to be the time BeReal was on the rise. Most of their next two semesters were only photographed using the BeReal app. They saw each other three or more times each week to prepare for and lead their Bible study group through the Psalms. Little did Ellie know, Carson had caught feelings for her only a couple of weeks in! Because Bible study leaders were asked not to date within their group to avoid awkward dynamics within the members, he waited until the end of the fall semester, when they were no longer officially co-leading together, to confess his feelings to her. One fateful December 2nd in 2023, they decided to meet up to celebrate a great semester partnership by playing board games together in Aggie Park. Walking back to their cars, Carson finally thought the moment was right to admit his feelings to her and asked if she would be interested in going on a date.

The next week was a whirlwind of exciting activities, dates, and final exams. On December 12, 2023 they finally made it official: they were boyfriend and girlfriend. The following semester, they sought out every opportunity to study, play board games, and be intentional with each other. Over spring break, Ellie brought Carson home with her to San Antonio to meet her parents and show her hometown to him. That spring semester was full of exciting firsts and lasts, as it was their first semester of dating and Ellie’s final semester at A&M. Before she graduated, Ellie got to participate in many senior traditions, but the most special, was Ring Dance. Ellie graduated from TAMU with a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife & Fisheries Conservation Sciences.

Carson soon took Ellie to Houston to hang out with his dad and get to know him better. Many more adventures together followed that summer, including several in Houston, flying to visit friends in Nevada, and a vacation chilling in the Frio River at Garner State Park. That July, they decided to make or break the relationship through a preliminary round of premarital counseling. (Thank you to Scott & Kim Casteel for guiding us through some tough topics in SYMBIS; we really appreciate y’all!)

After the summer of 2024, they found a new rhythm around Ellie’s new full-time position and Carson’s fall semester classes. They spent the holidays in San Antonio with Ellie’s family, took a few more trips to Houston to be with Carson’s dad, and faced a real challenge of coming up with new and creative date ideas as their relationship deepened.

Once January struck, they began the search for a wedding venue, landing on Peach Creek Ranch as the winner. Other important wedding vendors soon followed. As spring progressed, Carson and Ellie started the final round of premarital counseling through a program hosted at their church called Merge. Over spring break, they took a road trip to Peoria, IL to meet Carson’s mom and siblings: a necessary prerequisite for engagement. While there, they enjoyed lots of great food and time with Carson’s family. Keeping secrets from Ellie yet again, Carson was already preparing to propose to Ellie in the next few months.

After they arrived back in Texas and recovered from the 16-hour drive, the stage was set for Carson to propose. He contacted Ellie’s roommates unbeknownst to her and coordinated with them on the perfect time for Ellie to get her nails done. Her roommates suggested a day for all three to go to the nail salon together. Ellie made sure that Carson knew that he had limited time to propose. She was completely clueless he had planned their engagement for that very weekend! His carefully crafted story had begun months earlier in January. That weekend, Ellie and Carson had planned to travel back to San Antonio to help one of Carson’s friends set up for a black-tie event that he was hosting… at Ellie’s favorite place, ever! The conspiracy grew as Ellie’s mom invited her whole family back into town to attend a concert being held the same night. (Fun fact: Mrs. Beebe reached out about the concert tickets before knowing that Carson had already made plans for that night.) Conveniently, it was the perfect excuse for both of Ellie’s sisters to come home. Everything was now in motion, no going back now.

Carson suggested that they wear their ring dance outfits to attend his buddy’s event. He later asked Ellie if she’d like to have a fancy dinner date before the event, as that night marked their 16th month of dating. They had a lovely dinner together, and the waiter even brought out a special dessert without prompting! It wasn’t until they were parking at Cibolo Nature Center that Ellie started to suspect anything. As they walked through the dimly lit area, the lights in the trees turned on to reveal a beautiful arrangement of sunflowers and photographs from throughout their dating season. Carson guided Ellie from picture to picture, ending the moment with some Spirit-led words. He got down on one knee and as he presented the ring, Ellie didn’t hear him ask the question! Confused, she placed the ring onto her finger and said “Yes!”, but this time, Carson didn’t hear her! Laughing about the confusion, they began to dance. Music played nearby, and his friends hid in the shadows to photograph and record the moment. (Thank you dearly to Robeam, Joni, and Blaine for capturing such an important memory for us!)

The newly engaged couple returned to Ellie’s parents’ house to discover her family had known the whole time and prepared a surprise party with a fancy cake and a toast! Ellie got to show off her ring to her sisters first, which was so special to her. They made posts to social media that night, but the surprise wasn’t finished yet. They ventured home to College Station, with Ellie assuming the fun was over. Two days later, Ellie went to have dinner at Carson’s house, only to be shocked to find all their close friends had planned a SECOND surprise party for her to celebrate. They told the tale of the proposal while watching the footage from that night. More cake and champagne followed. Ellie and Carson were overjoyed to get to share their excitement with so many friends.

As summer progresses, the newly engaged couple has lots of planning to do. In the meantime, Ellie will be serving as head cook for Frontier Camp, a place near and dear to her heart, while Carson will spend most of his time working and preparing for the wedding and the marriage that follows. As the big day draws closer, more and more of the wedding details become solidified. Carson and Ellie are so excited to celebrate with you on December 14th!

Friends & Family

The Parents

Mother of the Bride

Nancy Beebe

Nancy is Ellie’s mother. She has always been there for Ellie, from attending field trips to walking through hard things. When Ellie was in middle and high school, Nancy was also Ellie’s small group leader for her youth group. She has always been Ellie’s go-to for answering tough questions. Ellie will always value her wisdom and readiness to tell hard truths. When asked about what she was most excited about for the wedding, she said, “I am looking forward to the two of you starting your new lives together. Dating and wedding planning are both exciting times, but marriage is when the real fun begins. Learning to live in harmony with someone is harder than it appears but worth the effort. You two are well suited for each other and I’m sure you will work hard, with help from God, on the unity that marriage requires!”

Mother of the Groom

Porsha Millinger

Porsha is Carson’s mom. She has cared for him ever since he was little and ignited his desire to learn from a young age. Porsha homeschooled him for Pre-K and taught him everything he knew up until his first day of school in kindergarten. Since then, she has continued to unconditionally support him in every possible way, as Carson took steps away from their home state of Illinois and towards Texas. She doesn’t get to see Carson much, but she is thankful and grateful for every moment that she can spend with him and the rest of their family together. Porsha is most excited to see Carson and Ellie at the ceremony, expressing their love for each other in front of all of their friends and family.

Father of the Bride

Chip Beebe

Chip is Ellie’s father. His masterful skills in the kitchen spoiled Ellie from a young age, and as she grew he began to teach her his secrets. Among these were pie baking masterclasses and learning to hand-make pasta. He also handed down his love for science and a good taste in movies. From Alfred Hitchcock’s Rope to The Lord of the Rings, he ensured Ellie got a sampling of only the best films available. He was always there to help with science fairs and lab reports, and Ellie’s favorite sick days were those spent at his workplace learning about satellites and the stars. Chip thinks it’s a beautiful thing to see his last daughter find love and is looking forward to seeing Carson and Ellie begin their new life together, with all the excitement that it brings, and to see how God will work through their family to bless others.

Father of the Groom

Todd Perkins

Todd is Carson’s Dad. He has done a lot for Carson over the course of his life. He was the one who taught him how to drive a car and how to use power tools (or any tool for that matter). He also always reminded Carson of the importance of serving others. Carson’s dad never let an opportunity to provide a service to others go by, if he had the means and the ability to do it. Todd is the reason that Carson’s drive, motivation, and work ethic are what they are today. He has always pushed him to be the best he can be and is now excited, more than ever, to see Carson and Ellie being brought together in union by God for the sake of a happy lifetime of marriage.

The Wedding Party

Matron of Honor

Erin Cowan

Erin is Ellie’s oldest sister, and has always added a splash of color to Ellie’s life. Growing up, Ellie always looked up to Erin’s artistic skills and aspired to be like her in that way. Her endless creativity kept Ellie looking forward to seeing what Erin would create next. While Erin is a painter at heart, she has recently begun working with Ellie’s favorite form of art: sculpture! Erin’s knack for spontaneous fun leaves her susceptible to taking budget impromptu trips to Europe. She is an invaluable asset to any party planning committee. Erin and her husband, Austin, host a Bible study at their house just like the one Ellie and Carson met while leading together in college. As the future Perkins family is learning to host their own events, Erin will be a great resource for them. She is most excited just to see Ellie and Carson get married, but she’ll always enjoy an excuse to dance.

Best Man

Robeam Solomon

Robeam is one of Carson’s most trusted, loyal, and supportive mentors. This will not be his first honorary position in Carson’s life either. Carson chose Robeam to be the one to baptize him because of how intentional he was with their discipleship relationship early on in his walk with Jesus. He has been incredibly faithful and committed to loving and growing Carson throughout his entire walk. Despite both Carson and Robeam moving away from the Houston area a few years ago, Robeam has continued to pursue their relationship and speak grace and truth into Carson’s life, especially in regard to his relationship with Ellie. Robeam was always there to help Carson in the past, and he has continued to do so to this day. The thing Robeam is most looking forward to is God’s redemption in Carson’s life, giving him the opportunity to marry a woman as God-fearing as Ellie.

Matron of Honor

Alissa Hawkins

Alissa is Ellie’s middle sister and first college roommate. She has always been there for Ellie through big emotions and even bigger life transitions. Their early years included lots of playing outside or on the Wii together; they also loved singing along to soundtracks on the drives to school each morning. Ellie had the honor of third-wheeling Alissa’s relationship through high school and college, so Alissa has naturally become one of the first people Ellie goes to for relationship advice. Their first week together in College Station, back in 2020, Alissa forced Ellie to attend her first midnight yell (online). She taught Ellie each chant and hand sign necessary for good Ags to participate in campus festivities. Because Alissa was such a helpful mentor in Ellie’s early college years, Ellie chose her to present Ellie’s Aggie Ring… a great honor among Aggies. She is most looking forward to helping Ellie get ready in the morning with lots of music and dancing, and seeing her walk down the aisle to Carson! The most important thing will be seeing them commit to loving each other and following God for the rest of their lives!

Best Man

Jim Whatley

Jim and Carson have known each other for a while now. It could only have been fate, also known as the Lord, that would bring these two together. Jim was only supposed to be in Houston for a few months, but circumstances changed, and he had the opportunity to stay in Houston for a few years. This provided plenty of time for Jim to invest in Carson, and likewise Carson getting to invest in Jim. They ended up working in the same line of work, installing and repairing audio-visual equipment all of the Houston area, as well as enjoying many of the same free-time activities outside of work. Aside from that, Jim has been a great friend and a great brother-in-Christ to Carson over all of the years that they have known each other. Their relationship could only be described using the term that was coined specifically for them. Jim and Carson are “soul-brothers.” Jim is mostly excited to see Carson and Ellie say “yes” to each other, and of course, fun dancing that will follow.

Bridesmaid

Grace Mears

Grace Mears is the epitome of joy—to know her is to know boundless excitement. Ever since she met Ellie, their interactions have been marked by genuine and intentional interest in one another’s lives. Grace has been a mentor figure to Ellie over the last year. They frequently met together in coffee shops, where Grace would faithfully disciple Ellie and provide her with accountability. Grace is always certain to follow up on any topics discussed within the following week. Grace has walked with Ellie through many hard things, like when Ellie was laid off from her job with the USDA. Grace is most excited to celebrate the covenant union of marriage and loves getting to see what details each couple includes to make their weddings special for them. She is also very excited to see Carson and Ellie’s dancing styles as she has not had the chance to dance alongside them yet.

Groomsman

Travis Bishop

Travis is a longtime friend of Carson. They didn’t get to spend too many years together developing their relationship early on, but the time that they have spent together has been truly unforgettable and has lasted years since. Travis, and his wife, Colleen, have both cared for Carson in ways beyond understanding. They were there to help Carson through some tremendous struggles, while endlessly encouraging him with the Lord’s truth and love through all of the ups and downs in various seasons of life. More recently, as Ellie and Carson have drawn closer, Travis and Colleen have continued to be intentional, but now, caring for their relationship by loving and supporting them with great foundational practices for a lifetime of marriage. Travis is very excited to meet many of the people that have helped shape Ellie and Carson into who they are today, as well as getting to witness them merging their separate worlds into one.

Bridesmaid

Amelia Vallejo

Amelia is Ellie’s birthday buddy! In addition to sharing June 12th as their big day, they also shared a bathroom together for the last year as roommates along with Jessica. Amelia is extraordinarily gifted in hosting and has helped Ellie get out of her shell many times this year through various celebrations and events held at their house, Treehouse Corner. Amelia, Ellie, and Jessica also played many late-night games of Phase 10 and Rummikub. Amelia was one of Ellie’s first friends at Grace Bible Church’s young adult ministry, Junction. She has always been so faithful to ask hard questions and dig deeper when Ellie was keeping to herself. Amelia is most excited by the Christmas theme of the wedding! Christmas time is Amelia’s favorite part of the year, and she can’t wait to see how Carson and Ellie lean into that theme.

Groomsman

Stanley Brandt

Stanley is one of Carson’s roommates and has been for two years. In that time, Stanley has become one of the most intentional friends and brothers-in-Christ in Carson’s life. Stanley has been there from the very beginning of Carson and Ellie’s relationship, and he’s been nothing short of a helpful and close friend to Carson. There aren’t too many people willing to listen to Carson flip-flop on decisions for an hour, but he is one of them. And no matter the circumstances, his focus was to ensure that Carson was seeking the Lord first: in his work, in his school, and especially in his relationship with Ellie. Stanley is a simple man; he likes looking nice and being around those he loves, which is why he is very much looking forward to the reception and the party at the wedding.

Bridesmaid

Jessica Pruneda

Jessica is yet another of Ellie’s roommates from the past year and a close friend from Junction. Ellie and Jess were able to develop their friendship more after they moved in together. Jess, like Ellie, enjoys a good quiet time in her room and was always easy for Ellie to be around without feeling pressured to fill the silence with small talk. She and Ellie share a love of Sonic and the board game Sequence. Jessica was also a frequent hostess at Treehouse Corner, and is a deer burger grillmaster. Jessica is looking forward to seeing the future bible studies and gatherings Carson and Ellie get to host in their new home. She is excited to see who they will mentor and be mentored by as they grow in their own relationship and their walks with the Lord. Her favorite thing about Ellie and Carson’s story is how they met leading a bible study together and is excited to see them leading together more in the future.

Groomsman

Saúl Villa Paz

Saúl is also one of Carson’s current roommates. He moved in at the same time as Stanley, two years ago. Saúl has been extremely intentional and practical in Carson’s walk with the Lord, as well as with his relationship with Ellie. He has been there to listen and to counsel Carson as the need arose. Saúl is not a person that can be easily convinced, and he often challenged Carson in his own beliefs and actions, for the sake of honoring the Lord and honoring Ellie in their relationship better. Saúl is a close and dear friend to Carson. They have been doing life together in the same house for past years, and Carson is nothing, if not extremely thankful for all that Saúl has done as he navigated the ins and outs of the singleness, dating, and engagement seasons of life. Saúl is joyful to celebrate the depiction of what it means to become “one flesh”, as Carson and Ellie are brought together in marriage, the union of one man and one woman is exactly as God intended it to be.

Bridesmatron

Sarabeth Dean

Sarabeth was one of Ellie’s first Bible study leaders in College Station. Through shared meals, attending Breakaway on Tuesday nights, Bible studies, and more, that Bible study group quickly became Ellie’s closest college friends. Sarabeth has always been a constant source of great wisdom, kind words, and fantastic hugs. Even after graduation, Sarabeth remained faithful to check back in and speak wisdom into hard things Ellie was walking through. Sarabeth is also an amazing, wonderful florist and has agreed to be the florist for the wedding! From the bridal bouquet to the last boutonniere, her beautiful handiwork will be on display and so greatly appreciated. Sarabeth is super excited that through marriage Carson and Ellie will get to do damage for the Kingdom! She’s also excited about the Christmas theme for the wedding, as it will be lovely!

Groomsman

Parker Minke

Parker is a true friend of Carson’s, through and through. They met both attending Blinn College, while preparing to transfer to Texas A&M University. It also, just so happened, that the Lord had them both working in the same workplace at this time. Parker has been faithful and committed to pursue a friendship with Carson, and even though they have only known each other a few years, the Lord has grown them both so much through their knowing each other. Academically, Parker and Carson have a lot of classes together, and they continue to allow God to sharpen them through their intentional friendship and side-by-side learning at Texas A&M Engineering. Parker is thrilled to see his brother in Christ find his better half and cannot wait to celebrate with them. He’s more than certain that their marriage and ministry will be Christ-centered.

Bridesmaid

Amber MacInnis

Amber has been an amazing new friend to Ellie at Junction. She is a wealth of information and loves to share with others! Amber is also always learning and excited to ask questions about unfamiliar subjects. Since they met, Ellie has gotten the opportunity to teach Amber all about the art of audio mixing at Junction. They have enjoyed many Thursday nights together in the tech booth and share a passion for serving others through the skills they have learned there. The two have also bonded over painting parties where they decorated Bible bags together. Amber and Ellie also shared studies in the field of entomology and both enjoy identifying some of God’s smaller creations. Amber is most excited to partake in the celebrations after the ceremony and can’t wait for the dancing and fun with friends throughout the night.

Groomsman

Chandler Majusiak

Chandler is a friend of Carson and has been since they first met at their NSC (New Student Conference) at Texas A&M. Chandler is one of very few people that was able to witness all of Carson and Ellie’s relationship from the very beginning. Chandler was one of the original members of the Bible study that Carson and Ellie led, and he’s been such an advocate and encouragement to Carson as his relationship with Ellie grew closer. Chandler has been there from the very beginning and has been available to help Carson through some crucial moments, like when Carson needed to pick out a suit to wear to Ellie’s Ring Dance. Chandler is most excited for the afterparty of the wedding. He cannot wait to get his boogie on, but also, he thinks it’s pretty cool that his college Bible study leaders are getting married.

What time should I arrive? Where should I park?

Guests are welcome to arrive anytime between 3:30 and 3:45! The ceremony will begin at 4:00, so we recommend at least 15 minutes to find a seat and meet those nearby! The venue has parking on the property with a beautiful walkway to the main area. Handicapped spots are available directly next to the Reception hall.

Venue

Peach Creek Ranch

Peach Creek Ranch is the venue that Ellie and Carson selected for their big day. It is located just off of Welborn Road in College Station, about 15 minutes south of the Texas A&M campus. The property is quiet and secluded, with plenty of space to stretch your legs or explore. Just past the ceremony location is a pond with a walking trail around it: a great spot to retreat and enjoy the Lord’s creation for a few minutes if you need a break from the action. The courtyard is also a great place to relax before the ceremony or during the reception. There will be yard games and some open space for little ones to run around and play.

The courtyard area is entirely fenced in, but the venue does kindly request that all little ones have active supervision at all times, so please keep an eye on them for us! The ceremony will take place outside overlooking the pond. The reception will be primarily inside the Great Room, though stepping outside for fresh air or pictures is highly encouraged! The courtyard has a fire pit in case the evening is chilly.

One of the best parts about Peach Creek Ranch is its wonderful owners, Ryan and Katie. They put so much thought and care into creating a space for other couples to have the best wedding possible. Carson and Ellie have been blessed to get to work with them, and want to be good stewards of this beautiful space! Please help them do this through throwing away trash and keeping a watchful eye on young children. This way, more couples in the future can have just as great a blessing as Carson and Ellie have had.

There should be plenty of space for parking onsite, with the exact parking location found below. If you are curious to learn more about the wedding venue, more details including Peach Creek’s contact information and website can be found below as well.
